Abstract
ABSTRAC Azwa Syqha Sartono, Nayla, Susiyarti., Maulida, Iroma., 2026. The Relationship of Knowledge with Mother's Actions in the Prevention of Diarrhea in Toddlers in Tonggara Village, Kedungbanteng District. Diarrhea is a condition of defecation with a liquid or mushy consistency three or more times in 24 hours and is still a health problem in toddlers. Efforts to prevent diarrhea are greatly influenced by the mother's knowledge which will have an impact on actions in maintaining children's hygiene and health. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and maternal actions in the prevention of diarrhea in toddlers in Tonggara Village, Kedungbanteng District. This type of research is quantitative analytics with a cross sectional design. Sampling was done using a quota sampling technique with a total of 50 respondents who had toddlers aged 1–5 years. Data was collected using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out univariate to see the frequency distribution and bivariously using the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a good level of knowledge as many as 44 people (88%) and positive actions as many as 43 people (86%). The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p-value = 0.001 (p < 0.05) which means that there is a meaningful relationship between knowledge and maternal actions in preventing diarrhea in toddlers in Tonggara Village, Kedungbanteng District. Thus, the better the mother's knowledge, the better the action in preventing diarrhea in toddlers. Keywords: Knowledge, Action, Diarrhea Prevention, Tonggara Village.
