Abstract

Nurria, Risda; Riyanta, Aldi Budi; Febriyanti, Rizki., 2026. Phytochemicals Screening and Determination of Total Flavonoid Content of Ethanol Extract of Lakum Air Plants (Ludwigia hyssopifolia). Rice is one of the main food source whose growth is disrupted by weed, one type of weed is lakum air (Ludwigia hyssopifolia) which can reduce crops and become a hiding place. Lakum air plant is known to have secondary metabolite contents such as flavonoids. The study aimed to determine the flavonoid content in ethanol extract of lakum air plant (Ludwigia hyssopifolia). The extraction method used in this study was the maceration method using the solvent 96% ethanol solvent for 5 days that previously the sample of water was dried using the oven's temperature. The analysis of secondary metabolite was conducted through flavonoid alkaloids, alkaloids, steroid and quantitative with determination of total flavonoid levels determined using UV-Vis spectrophotometry with a wavelength of 517 nm. The results of positive qualitative tests contained in flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenols and the total flavonoid content was 21.935%.
